The different types of access control

The keypads can be an interesting option. They are installed near the access and enable a fast dialing of a code for controlling the opening. The code can be the same for all users or different for everyone, allowing to know who is in and out of a room.


The chips or cards that can be read by a reader installed near the access is an attractive alternative because they allow the management of each user independently and they are more difficult to exchange between people, as they are required for each hand passing and can be stored easily on a key ring for chip type or in a wallet for the card type. If they are lost or defective, simply remove the serial number in the system and replace it with another, so that the old badge is automatically disabled.


The fingerprint readers are an effective and almost foolproof way to control access. The reader can confirm that the person making the request for access is one that is already registered in the system. It is also possible to combine a fingerprint with a code or badge reader for maximum security.


We also offer the ability to control access via remote control, bracelet and long range card for a garage door in a condo building or to control in goings and out goings of a retiree residence.

 

Maintenance

An access control system has mechanical parts that must be regularly maintained for optimal system operation, such as electric strikes, electromagnets or other door retention systems. It may be a simple lubrication or a screw tightening. These mechanical parts may be requested thousands of times a day in some cases and can become less effective quickly. We can do maintenance on your system on call or on contract as needed.
